Yesterday Becky & I got our Passport photos at Walgreen.  Last week we had been trying to get in touch with Abbi at GWCA which has been rather difficult.  It appears that they are going through some reorganization with their Dossier department, however we didn’t find that out until we got an email Friday from GWCA stating that they were backed up.  Of course we made at least a dozen phone calls and left several messages all week long before we got the email.  I got to tell you I expected better service for the amount of money we paid them.  We considered sending a letter of concern to GWCA about this since we are only a month into the process and this is the kind of service we are getting.  Becky has talked to some of the people we know that have used GWCA and other agencies and they are surprised that we are being treated this way.  All we were trying to do is get some assurance feed back about our Home Study draft.  I would have been happy with an email or voicemail earlier in the week saying “We’re backed up and we’ll get to you as soon as possible”.  We have heard so many horror stories about the INS in Atlanta we just wanted to make sure we had our bases covered.  Since GWCA is being difficult we decided to return the Home Study draft  to June with the additional requested information and our notes for the final draft to submit to INS for processing.  Becky did call Elaine, GWCA regional rep and expressed our concern regarding their customer service, she seemed shocked and was going to mention to someone at GWCA that we were unhappy, perhaps that will help.  What really has us mad is that some people are using GWCA because we are and GWCA, in their current state, is not what we were expecting.  So far GWCA has been fantastic about taking our money and leaving us little or nothing to show for it.  If anyone at GWCA is reading this all we needed to hear was “We got it and we’ll get back to you”.  How about kick it up a notch.  Oh Ya, we got our Crazy letter from Florence.  Thanks Florence, but if GWCA keeps working like this you may want to retract what you said about us, just kidding.
