Becky being the workaholic that she is stayed up late the night before trying to get some work done before a deadline.  So she slept in an extra hour and ran some uploads from home that morning.  She called her Boss and told him that she was coming in a little late.  Roy, Becky’s boss, is like a big brother.  She has known him for years.  We both really like Roy and his family and they have been very supportive through everything.  Anyway, back to the story.  Becky was driving into work and passed “His House” a Christian thrift shop.  As Becky was driving by, she noticed them rolling out a crib.  She turned around and after some wheeling and dealing she got a $150 crib for $20, not bad.  Becky was driving our new Concord which has an impressive trunk but not quite big enough for a crib so she asked them to hold the crib until I could come and pick it up with our Explorer.  I made it just before the place closed and while we wheeling the crib out to the truck, one of the guys that works there told Becky that the manager was upset all day because he wanted to charge $95 for the crib.  While I understand that the money goes to a good cause, we regularly donate stuff to His House so I’m pretty comfortable with our steal.  I wouldn’t have paid $95 for the crib since it was used.  Let’s face it, the kid is only going to be in the crib for a short amount of time.  She will be about 8 months old at the youngest when we get her.
