Next subject: Dad’s nose
Filed Under Morgan | Leave a Comment
Between Morgan and Becky they are bound to break my nose sometime this year. Morgan came really close a few months ago then last weekend we were roughhousing and she got me again. It wasn’t as bad as the first time (no crunching sound) but it got real bloody. I’m learning that I’m the delicate one. Just wait till I have two little girls. Look out world!!! Perhaps I shouldn’t be so concerned about Morgan learning KungFu. She’s kicking my butt at 2-1/2 right now. Almost Ready to Apply to GWCA. Becky started filling out the Great Wall China Adoption (GWCA) agency application to start our second adoption. What are we thinking? Morgan is so well behaved and so much fun could we be that lucky again? Probably not, I bet Isabelle will be our Hell Raiser. Just kidding but it will be tough to top Morgan. I know everyone talks about the terrible 2’s but Morgan is 2 and a half and has been Great. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to make comparisons between Morgan and what we hope Isabelle will be like, but it’s hard not to.

Mothers Day Weekend
Filed Under Morgan | Leave a Comment
Lets see as Becky described it we celebrated Mothers day all weekend. It started early. On Thursday I gave Becky an ArtCarved ring with Morgan’s birth stone and her Chinese name and birthday engraved on it. I couldn’t wait. We met at the Daycare and I had Morgan give her Mom the ring. Oh and Morgan also got a cool gift, a talking Dora. You plug Dora into your computer and tell Dora your child’s name and other info and Dora talks to your child. Very cool. Friday evening we hung out as a family at the house. Saturday we had perfect weather, not too hot and not too cold. Nana and Papa came over and we cooked out on the grill and ate out on our deck. Papa taught Morgan steel mill hand signals just in case she needed to call for a Foreman, tell a crane to go up and down etc. We also finished Morgan’s swing set. That was one happy child. Morgan rode the swing, went across the monkey bars and down the slide. We also celebrated Papa’s Birthday. Morgan helped blow out the candles. Sunday was a nasty day, rain and hail. Of course we were stuck in both the rain and the hail. All I could think was I hope the back window doesn’t break while Morgan is in her car seat in the back. We ate at Waffle House and then delivered Papa’s gift to him. All and all a good weekend. Happy Mother’s day…

Morgan is Child of the Month
Filed Under Morgan | Leave a Comment
Yea… Morgan is child of the month at her daycare. Oooo and she is now talking, a lot. We completed the pad for the pool and almost have her swing-set assembled. Last Friday we applied for Morgan’s US Passport. We’re getting ready to start our second adoption. I really hate filling out those forms, fortunately Becky usually does it. I almost forgot, we were mentioned in an article about adopting in China in the South China Morning Post (www.scmp.com). I’ll post the article on the SCMP page. Very Cool…
