Ooops, it’s been a while

Well, our visit with June went well. Days of cleaning for a 15 minute check. I don’t care as long as the house passed. Of course we haven’t got anything else done as far as paperwork, including the application for Great Wall. I’ll have to finish this later

With toilet training and everything else going on raising a 2.5 year old I have found that her bowel movements are common topics of conversation. Anyone else feel that way. Morgan is doing Great toilet training by the way.

Preparing for June’s home visit
Filed Under Isabelle, Morgan | Leave a Comment
This Friday is “D” day or “Da” day, get it? June Bond (our Social Worker) is coming for the home inspection. We have been farming Morgan out to her Grandma and Grandpa Rutledge so that we can get the house in order. I know that sounds bad but Morgan is usually in no hurry to come home when we come to pick her up from her grand parents, either set. The first time when we were preparing to adopt Morgan June’s visit to our house was during the after effects of an ice storm we were without power for 4 days and the house was 41 degrees Fahrenheit and our Great room looked like a refugee camp. June Jokingly said that she would put in the Home Study that we need to get electricity to the house. Oh, June did a thorough inspection she took a flashlight and looked in every room, I was impressed. That definitely makes for a good story to tell when Morgan gets older about the hoops we had to jump through to adopt her. It will be interesting seeing what we’ll have to do for Isabelle. Hooray we got Morgan’s passport in the mail today. Becky was sweating getting all the documents back that we had to provide and she wasn’t happy about the staple holes in the adoption paperwork (she was thinking of framing it). But we are one step closer.
