“Get out of Town”
Filed Under Morgan | Leave a Comment
I need to mention this. Morgan has a new catch phrase “Get out of Town”. We are not quite sure who she got that from but we feel it’s either her teacher Miss Molly or is Pa because he always said that when he was being goofy with little children. Anyway with perfect comedic timing Morgan will Zing us with “Get out of Town”. Ya Gotta Love This Kid.

A lot to answer that question. Morgan as usual has had a very busy social schedule. Let’s see she attended her first Ballet (Alice in Wonderland) and LOVED it. So much so she now wants to take lessons. So we are signing her up at The Little Gym where they have a class that teaches gymnastics, ballet, tap, jazz, you know dance stuff. I think 4 of her friends are on board to join with her. Not that we want to leave MyGym but it doesn’t offer what we need anymore and the place is going to change hands by the end of the month and it just won’t be the same without Mr. Travis.
Oooo!!! we went to a place called Frankie’s Fun Park because I found out that they had Duck Pin Bowling. Morgan had a blast bowling and then there were the Go-Carts. They had a Rookie track and Morgan was old enough to drive the car by herself but she didn’t want to. So we went to the Road Race Track, they had double seat and single seat cars. Morgan got to ride with both Becky and I in the double seat car and had a BLAST!!! She kept saying “Cut Mommy Off” or “Cut Daddy Off” with the biggest grin on her face. The cars had such a low center of gravity the brake was pointless. The cars would drift around the corners. I felt like I was on the BBC America show Top Gear test driving the fancy sports cars. After spending about $40 bucks in an hour and a half I saw where this day was going so I quickly redirected everyone to Hey lets get some lunch… and we went to the Zoo where we have an annual pass.
Morgan also got to meet her Great Aunt Jerry from Chicago. Jerry came down to help the Obama campaign in South Carolina. I think she was disappointed to hear that Becky and I voted republican, but I think she already knew that. Before we met my Mom and Jerry for dinner I told Morgan that Great Aunt Jerry are like Great Aunt Ruth, Ann and Lou. Once I told Morgan that Jerry was Ok. In fact Morgan accompanied Jerry to the salad bar at Ruby Tuesdays shortly after meeting her. I was shocked she went with her so quickly. Morgan was her normal well behaved 4 year old. I hope Jerry was impressed, I think she was.
The rest of the month was Bike riding, Chesely’s Birthday Party & Shopping.

Yes, I purchased a new Domain Name. Our new domain name is “sccreightons.COM“. Don’t worry I’ll have our old domain forward to the new one till the old one expires in ‘09. What brought this all about was I am going to change web hosts in the hopes that my site will run a bit faster than it currently does. I was using 27Hosting because they are dirt cheap and reliable. In fact I use 27Hosting for all our adoption organization web-hosting (FCC and soon the AFG) because you can’t beat $1 a month. I’m moving to GoDaddy for their web hosting because they are so big they almost have to be fast and reliable. I also use them to register domain names. I haven’t made the change over but here is a link to the new site:
I know it’s not real imaginative but most people know that a web site as “*****.com” and it seemed to confuse less web savvy people when you tell them “*****.us”. So .COM it is.
I’ll let you know when I make the big migration over to the other server

15 months and counting

Well it’s 15 months and counting since our LID. The last referral group waited for 25 months or 745 days from LID to referral. If we use 745 days as our time frame it will be October ‘08 when we get our referral. I would still bet on the summer of ‘09 or even later. Waiting still SUCKS!!!

If your familiar with Monty Python then you’ll understand the title, for everyone else we got our new washing machine today. It’s very High Tech and right now we get excited when it goes “BING!”. “BING!” means that a load of wash is done. I had to chuckle when we first ran it and the fastination we all had and when we heard the “BING!” I couldn’t help think of the the movie Monty Python’s the Meaning of Life.

“Merry Holidays” and “Happy Birthday”
Filed Under Morgan | Leave a Comment
“Merry Holidays” and “Happy Birthday” is what I was told all December. I got a Great kid. I think someone in our family had the Christmas spirit. We had a Great December, busy but Great. The second week of December we went to Disney then Christmas and New Years. Ok, I admit it we were so busy that we didn’t get Christmas Cards out this year. We plan on making it up this year by sending out Chinese New Year cards. Honestly we just didn’t get that photo with Santa or at the Christmas tree we were really happy with and time became an issue.

We got a washer. Not just any washer this one has “magnets” and if you spin the tub it provides enough power to make the display beep. It’s the little things that do it for me. Here’s the link to the LG website. We get it delivered this Saturday. We can’t wait. We donated our old washer (taxes and stuff). This was in preparation for getting another child and the extra loads of wash. actually I need to post my spreadsheet of our energy (KWH) savings since we replaced both of our AC units. If I knew then what I know now we would have done it sooner. Now I’m looking everywhere trying to save money on utilities.
I never thought I would be excited about a washing machine. I must be getting old.

Happy New Year
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Happy New Year from The Creighton family. We spent the night together and shot off 24 artillery shells and many sparklers. We ran through so many sparklers that I brought
out the camera and we played with the settings to make artistic photos.
Oh, I gotta tell you this. When I went to purchase all the fire works I got the Artillery shells, a pack of 3′ sparklers and a rool od 1000 fire crackers. The girl at the counter told me that Oh the fire crackers are buy one get 2 free. What am I going to do with 3000 fire crackers? Through out the year I’ll remind my neighbors that I’m still around. One of the 1000 rolls will be for Chinese New Year (Year of the Rat) and one will be for whenwe get our I171 renewed (adoption stuff). We haven’t decided what to do with the 3rd roll but I’m sure we’ll think of something. Look out neighborhood I’m armed and ready to go.
